Ghana Premier League legend Charles Assampong Taylor has boldly claimed that Mohammed Kudus would easily become the face of Real Madrid if he were part of the current La Liga giants.

Taylor even compared Kudus to Real Madrid’s star Vinicius Jr., insisting that the Ghanaian is the better player.

Kudus is a better footballer than Vinicius Jr. If Kudus were in this Real Madrid team, he’d have been the main man,” Taylor said during an interview on Angel TV.

He added that Kudus’s talent surpasses that of Vinicius but noted that a lack of belief in local players and poor pitch quality in Ghana hold players like Kudus back.

Since joining West Ham United from Ajax Amsterdam last year, Kudus has quickly made a name for himself as one of Europe’s most exciting players.

In his debut season with the Hammers, the Ghanaian international made significant contributions, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists across all competitions.

He also set a record for the most successful dribbles in a single Premier League game during a match against Chelsea, eventually finishing the season as the best dribbler in Europe.

Despite his success, Kudus has faced some criticism for holding onto the ball too long. However, the talented midfielder remains confident in his playing style.

“Personally, my style of play will always stay the same. I’ll need to blend in and do what the coach wants, give the team the results they want, but I’m still going to be me,” Kudus said, as quoted by 3Sports.

Kudus also highlighted the challenge of adapting to different systems under various coaches, both at the club and international levels.

“It’s definitely very difficult to get used to every system every single time… being versatile to adapt to different kinds of coaches is a main key that we have to be always up for,” he added.

Kudus’s remarkable performances have not gone unnoticed. He was recently named the Footballer of the Year for the second year in a row at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards, further solidifying his status as one of Ghana’s brightest football talents.
