Thiago Silva recently made a nostalgic return to Chelsea’s training ground at Cobham.
The Brazilian defender, who left the Premier League side earlier this year, stopped by to reconnect with the club where he spent three memorable seasons.
A Warm Return to a Special Place
Though now a player for Palmeiras in Brazil, Silva couldn’t resist visiting Chelsea, where he shared a special bond with fans and teammates alike.
Posting a picture from Cobham on social media, the 39-year-old expressed his gratitude, writing, “It’s always a pleasure to return to this special place. Thanks for the affection. The feeling is mutual.”
His post reflects the deep connection Silva formed with the club during his time there, a relationship that remains strong despite his move back to his home country.
A Chelsea Legend
Silva joined Chelsea in 2020 after a successful spell at Paris Saint-Germain. Over the course of his three seasons at Stamford Bridge, he made 112 Premier League appearances and helped the team keep an impressive 32 clean sheets.
His leadership at the back and calm presence were key to Chelsea’s defense during his time in London.
