Ruben Amorim Defends Rashford and Casemiro Amid Criticism

Ruben Amorim has held his first press conference as Manchester United head coach after officially taking charge last month.

The Portuguese manager, who replaced Erik ten Hag following his October dismissal, has been tasked with reviving the Red Devils, who currently sit 13th in the Premier League.

Since his appointment, Amorim has impressed with his positive outlook and clear vision for the club.

However, one of the first issues he had to address was the criticism aimed at Marcus Rashford and Casemiro for their recent trip to the United States during the international break.

Some, including former United player Gary Neville, questioned the pair’s decision to travel.

But Amorim quickly came to their defense, making it clear he supports his players.

“They were told they have five days off, so they can fly anywhere.

Nobody told them they couldn’t,” Amorim said. “I believe in the players we have, and I will do everything for this team.

I will defend my players all the time, no matter what.”

This public show of support could prove vital as Amorim looks to reignite the form of key players like Rashford, who has struggled to find consistency this season.

Backing his squad so strongly in the media may help boost morale as the team aims to turn their season around.
