Manchester United’s new head coach, Ruben Amorim, has set a clear standard for his players: they must run and fight with unmatched intensity if they want to compete for the Premier League title again.
Ahead of their match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, Amorim delivered a brutally honest assessment of his squad’s current state, admitting, “We are a massive club, but not a massive team.”

The 39-year-old Portuguese manager emphasized that running harder and playing with greater intensity is the foundation of his strategy to revive United’s fortunes.
“If we want to win the Premier League, we have to run like mad dogs,” he said. “Even with the best starting XI on the planet, without running, they will win nothing.”

“We’re not one of the best teams in the league right now, and we have to be honest about that,” he admitted.
“But this club has a history of greatness. Our players need to understand the weight of this badge and fight to bring back the glory.”
