Ghanaian forward Felix Afena-Gyan came to the rescue for Juventus Next Gen with a late equalizer in their 1-1 draw against Potenza on Sunday in Serie C.
The 21-year-old, who was introduced in the 66th minute, made an instant impact, coolly slotting home a low cross from Gabriele Mulazzi into the bottom corner.
His goal ensured Juventus Next Gen extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches.
Afena-Gyan has now netted five goals this season, proving to be a key attacking threat for his side.
Since December, he has been directly involved in five goals, a tally bettered only by teammate Simeone Guerra, who has eight.
Despite their solid form, Juventus Next Gen remains in 13th place, with work still to be done to push for a playoff spot.
With Afena-Gyan hitting his stride, the team will be counting on him to keep delivering in the crucial weeks ahead.
