Manchester United Receive Strong Federico Chiesa Transfer Signal After Brutal Juventus Decision

Federico Chiesa’s absence from the Juventus squad during their recent friendly against Brest has sparked rumors about a possible departure from the club.

The Italian winger, who has been seen training individually this week, could be on his way out of Turin this summer, especially with just one year left on his contract and no renewal in sight.

This has led to speculation linking him with several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

While Chiesa is a versatile player who can operate on both wings, Manchester United may not be in the market for a winger this summer.

With Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho providing sufficient cover on the left, and Amad Diallo, Jadon Sancho, and Antony as options on the right, United’s squad already appears well-stocked in those areas.

Additionally, Chiesa has sometimes been used as a supporting striker, but with Bruno Fernandes firmly holding the attacking midfield position and new signing Mason Mount able to fill in there, regular playing time might be hard to come by for Chiesa at United.

United’s cautious approach to spending this summer is also a factor in the likelihood of a move for Chiesa. After years of heavy spending, the club is operating with a tighter budget this year, believed to be around £50 million.

This budget has already been stretched with the £95 million signings of striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro, leaving little room for further big-money transfers without making sales first.

United is also looking to strengthen other areas of the squad, with a new centre-back, potentially Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt, and Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Manuel Ugarte being top priorities.

However, given the financial constraints, United will need to sell players to fund these moves, making a transfer for Chiesa seem unlikely, even with his relatively modest £21 million price tag.

While Chiesa would be a valuable addition to many squads, Manchester United’s current situation and transfer strategy suggest that the Italian winger may need to look elsewhere for regular playing time if he leaves Juventus this summer.
